This is a brand of Sandeman.

Sandeman made Quinta de Vau in 1988 as a single quinta vintage but then decided to make a new Vintage Brand called Vau to try to make a modern vintage port more appreciated by the young people.

BouquetToffee, roasted coffee, fudge, cherry, ginger, some cacao, chocolate, liquorice and a hint of tobacco in the nose.Score range15.25 - 16.25
TasteMedium body. Mature and on top. Sweet but balanced and quite elegant. Butterscotch, ginger, fudge and much more in taste. Quite long and very attractive finish. Will not be better but is wonderful now so drink up and enjoy it. A lovely port now!Average score15.93

TasteMedium body. Still quite a lot of tannins and will improve. Balanced and very complex with a quite long and very attractive finish. A very surprising port for the vintage year indeed.Average score

TasteLovely body. Mature and almost peaking but still with some very elegant and round tannins but will probably improve a little. Very enjoyable now with flavour of gingerbread, candy, some spiciness and lots of other things in taste. Balanced and very easy to drink and like with a complex, quite lovely and very attractive finish.Average score15.72
