This is a brand of Sandeman.

Sandeman made Quinta de Vau in 1988 as a single quinta vintage but then decided to make a new Vintage Brand called Vau to try to make a modern vintage port more appreciated by the young people.

BouquetToffee, roasted coffee, fudge, cherry, ginger and a hint of tobacco in the nose.Score range15.25 - 16.50
TasteMedium body. Mature and on top. Sweet but balanced and quite elegant. Butterscotch, ginger and fudge in taste. Rather long and very nice finish. Will not be better but is wonderful now so drink up!Average score15.95

TasteMedium body. Still quite a lot of tannins and will improve. Balanced and very complex with a quite long and very attractive finish. A very surprising port for the vintage year indeed.Average score

BouquetLovely bouquet with gingerbread, cinnamon, candy, dark chocolate, some coffee beans, herbs and some liquorice in the nose.Score range15.40 - 16.00
TasteMedium body. Mature and peaking but still with some very elegant and round tannins but will probably not improve much. Very enjoyable now with flavour of gingerbread, candy, some spiciness and lots of other things. Balanced and very easy to drink and like with a complex, quite lovely and very attractive finish.Average score15.68

TasteMedium body. Mature and peaking and will not be much better but still with some elegant tannins and wonderful to drink today. Cacao, figs, some spiciness and cream candy in flavour and a quite elegant finish. Modern port but quite attractive and very easy to drink and like.Average score15.67
