Wine and Soul is the business of the married couple Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, both wine-makers at Quinta Vale D. Maria and Quinta do Passadouro, respectively. They bought the vineyards which Pintas is made from in 2003. The grapes are coming from Vale de Mendiz near Pinhão, in Douro’s best district.

TasteMedium bodied. Still lots of round and lovely tannins but quite easy to drink and appreciate. Loaded with fruit and black berries, some spiciness and herbs in taste. Some sweetness but very balanced an elegant. A very attractive, delicate and promising finish.Average score

TasteMedium body. Lovely and delicate tannins and or course immature but in perfect balance. Quite sweet and very tasty with dark berry and Christmas spiciness in the mouth. The finish is long and very elegant.
