Quinta da Furada
Quinta da Furada has been owned by the same family for at least seven generations. In 1888 the winery was established when Valério Augusto de Sousa inherited the Quinta. The Quinta was expanded with 24 different plots that were bought from different neighbors. The current owners are the great-grandchildren of Valério Augusto de Sousa. The name Furada, meaning hole, comes from the many holes in the soil. These holes are believed to be the result of the Romans searching for gold and other valuable metals.

| Taste | Medium body. Sweet and quite mature but with some lovely and attractive tannins and already now very easy to drink. Toffee and mature fruit in taste with a quite lovely and round finish with some tannins. | ||
