This quinta has a long history. It was initially called Quinta do Lapa after the name of the owner. It was acquired of Manuel Magalhaes and remained in his family until his grand-daughter Maria Leonor Magalhaes Bacelar sold it to Wiese & Krohn. The family Carneiros’s coat-of-arms was allow to hang through, for the previous owner’s wife’s grandmother ha been a Carneiro.
