This quinta has a long history. It was initially called Quinta do Lapa after the name of the owner. It was acquired of Manuel Magalhaes and remained in his family until his grand-daughter Maria Leonor Magalhaes Bacelar sold it to Wiese & Krohn. The family Carneiros’s coat-of-arms was allow to hang through, for the previous owner’s wife’s grandmother ha been a Carneiro.

TasteMedium body. Mature and peaking but will develop more. Balanced and quite complex with cacao, coffee, chocolate an old grocery shop in taste and with a quite long and elegant finish. Will be interesting to try again.Average score

TasteMedium bodied. Quite mature but will improve as still some soft and very elegant tannin exists. Balanced with flavour of candy, cacao and cream candy. Very attractive and a nice, seductive finish.Average score16.12

TasteMedium body. Still with quite soft and delicate tannins and will of course be better. No heavy-weightier but easy to drink and to enjoy now. A modern sport style. Dark berry such as mulberries and black berries but also herbs, cream candy, cacao and toffee in taste. Balanced and quite elegant with a rather long and quite attractive finish.Average score15.69
