The Company was founded in 1986 as "Aida Coimbra Ayres de Mattos and Sons, Ltd." in Galfura by ancestors of Francisco Ayres de Carvalho and Maria de Mattos who lived in the area already in the 17th century. The family has been devoted to wine growing since seven generations. In 2005 the company changed name to the current simpler name, Coimbra de Mattos, Lda.

| Taste | Medium body. Immature but balanced with quite a lot of tannins. Easy to drink and enjoy already today with dark berry and fruit in taste and quite long and very interesting finish. Will be nice to follow. | ||
