São Pedro das Águias, Sociedade Agrícola e Comercial SA, was founded in September 1986 by the corporate group Vranken-Pommery Monopole and made the first harvest in 1987, having then started to constitute Port Wine stocks. This allowed the firm's inscription on the Port Wine Institute as a Port Wine producer and shipper. After Vranken bought Rozes in 1999 the two companies have been merged and they are now sharing the same administrative, winemaking and storage premises in the Douro and Villa Nova de Gaia
